- Saudi Arabia occupies four-fifths of the Arabian Peninsula, with a space area of more than 2,250,000 km2. With a varied terrain, the narrow Western plains on the Red Sea coast, the Tihamah plains; to the East of the Red Sea Coast are the mountains ranges, stretching along the country (Hijaz & Asir Mountains); the desert and rocky plateaux in the middle; the largest desert An Nafud in the North: the Empty Quarter, Rub Al Khali in the South, and the wide Eastern coastal plains extending along the Arabian Gulf Coast.
- Saudi Arabia is located at the furthermost part of South-West Asia. It is bordered by the Arabian Gulf, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain & Qatar in the East; the Red Sea in the West; Iraq & Jordan in the North; Yemen & Oman in the South.
